This Week at Kings Kids Village

On Sunday Kristen, Anna and Essy left for a five day mission trip to Kitui with several other teens from Club 8:12, the youth group from Nairobi Lighthouse Church. Their purpose was to serve and develop relationships with the individual families who were hosting them, and by their lives demonstrate the love of Christ. They also visited a hospital. They will be returning tonight, and I am excited to hear all that God did in and through them.

Judy has returned safely. It was a difficult time, so returning home was very comforting and relaxing. After a couple of days of rest, she is back to her self. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Thursday we took a trip to Daystar University to pick up Bill Lambert. Bill is a friend of Jim and Sue Christie, and is on his first short-term missions trip. He is a music teacher and worship leader from Buffalo, their home town. He has spent the last two weeks working with worship leaders at a church in Nairobi as well as speaking to many students at Daystar University. He is finishing his time in Kenya here at KKV through Monday morning. Today we had two VBS sessions learning songs as well as being taught from Psalm 150 about some of the instruments we can worship with. Besides bringing kazoos for everyone, he purchased some shakers, small cymbals and a drum. The kids (and adults) had a great time praising God together. We are grateful for the contagious joy and enthusiasm he has shared with us.
