Finding homes for our children is a GOOD thing, but it does mean that the numbers in our school are reducing. We are in process of registering our school with the Ministry of Education and opening it up to the community. We hope that by the beginning of 2025 (new school year), we will have many students coming to our school. This will be a “mission school” meaning that it will be highly subsidized so that low income families can help their children have a quality education at an affordable rate.

Kenya’s economy is hurting, (minimum wage of roughly $115 per month), and people just can’t make ends meet, let alone get their children a decent primary or secondary education. In the past recent years, this has been a contributing factor to parents, out of desperation, letting go of their children, sending them out to try to find a better life. We believe that family is more important than education, BUT we also believe that without education, it is difficult to make a living. We can all help support these families. The goal: keep families together, and help them thrive.
