Last Sunday we were blessed to have about twenty-five of our cell link members come to visit us here at KKV. They came and spent a couple hours with the kids playing football (soccer) and other games. It was great to see how they interacted with the kids, and everyone had a wonderful time. As they were preparing to get in their bus and leave, they presented KKV with a wonderful gift of baking flour, maize meal, laundry and bar soaps as well as toilet paper. Once again, we are so grateful for members of our home church, Nairobi Lighthouse Church, for their love expressed in word and in action.
Things are moving along in our building construction. Many truck loads or foundation stone, rocks and sand have been brought in. There have been construction workers digging out tree stumps and moving earth in preparation for laying the foundation. It is amazing to watch as the miracle continues to unfold.
Today KKV hosted a football tournament. We had teams from other children’s homes come and compete with our kids and each other. Although our team did not win the tournament, they displayed good sportsmanship and had a great time.
With our closing week upon us, the kids have been busy preparing for tomorrows closing day ceremony. Our kids and teachers have put in many hours of practice, and I can’t wait to see what they will perform. They are the best!
