This Week at Kings Kids Village

Last Saturday was a wonderful success. Ten of our kids, accompanied by Tray, Jim and Sue, attended the outreach sponsored by the Nairobi Korean Church. There were 15 orphanages from the Kassarani district represented. In total there were close to 300 people in attendance. District Chief Kamau, a government official who works for Childrens Rights, was our honored guest. The theme of the gathering was “O Happy Day.” We heard from Kamau, sang some songs, and then Jim shared the Word. At the conclusion of the message, many children raised their hands saying they wanted to ask Jesus into their hearts. Praise God!

We then were blessed to see presentations from each orphanage. Chief Kamau, Tray, Sue and elder Lee were selected as judges. Our kids did a great job and came in fourth place by one point. Everyone did a great job, whether it was a poem, song, dance or scripture recitation. They were all winners.

Nairobi Korean Church provided every attendee with lunch, as well as a take home bag that had pen, pencil and writing tablet as well as a treat. It truly was a happy day, and we say thanks to Pastor Chung and his church for hosting this wonderful event.
