We are so blessed that not just one company has come along side us to help us raise money and awareness in the marketplace. We have been favored in two different ways… The first way is through Corporate Responsibility CR initiatives locally in Nairobi, Kenya. Two companies have really come through for us and we want to thank them.
Java House Africa has chosen Kings Kids Village as part of their CR focus since 2017. They have supported us in several ways, including throwing a party for our Kings Kids and most importantly have opened up employment opportunities for our Kings Kids. So far, two of our kids have been employed by them. We are thankful. Other companies help us in gifts in kind and one of them is Ronalds and Associates CPA who have done our financial audit at KKV for three years and are presently working hard at applying for us to be able to offer tax credit donations at Kings Kids Village. That will pave the way for many more company donations from Kenyan Companies in the future. That’s a bit of the Kenyan front.[As you read this article, check out our sponsors – especially the Java House one… What a burger…]
In America, we have two companies who are raising funds for us as they sell a special line of merchandise produced just for us. J Bloom Designs is doing a great service to Kings Kids Village by donating generous percentage of a special line of jewelry crafted in Nairobi, Kenya by a self help group (Jimani Collections) which is empowering financially challenged Kenyan women. Also, we have our new line of Kings Kids Village and Encouragers Store. Also, we are so thankful for those who are giving directly on our website. We have added a new giving opportunity for your giving pleasure. You can now contribute to our KKV Guesthouse project on our website. Just go to our Encouragers Donate page and pick the Guesthouse Project on the dropdown list.
As always, thank you and God bless your generosity. Jon and Molly, Tray and Lydia
