My name
is Grace. I have a blended marriage family; we have two biological daughters
from my Husbands first marriage. I have not been blessed with a child of my own.
Early 2022, we sought to adopt of a child through one of the adopt
ion agencies in Nairobi. As a couple, we went through the process of application, and being counseled and advised on what was expected of us. We thought we had complied with all the requirements of social work visits, etc, and was waiting to be matched with a child. We waited and waited. Over a year later, we gave up hope that we would get a child.
We doubted ourselves and actually thought, “maybe God does not want this path for us.” In late March 2023, after I had accepted that having a child was a closed doo
r for me, a friend told me about Kings Kids Village. She introduced me to Tray and Lydia. By July, we had talked about our options, at which time through their guidance, we began the process of fostering a child. We were able to submit the relevant paper work, have the social work home visits, get matched with a child, and go through several bonding sessions. By end of August, we had a beautiful little boy in our care.
Since August of 24, he has been accepted as our own and protected by family and friends alike. His being in our lives has brought such positive change along with lots of joy and happiness.
God Gave me the child I desired in my heart…..He answered prayers I didn’t even verbalize! It keeps unfolding day by day.
Given a chance we’d like to take another for company and fulfillment.
