Young Adults Mentoring

We are still heavily involved in many of our alumni from KKV. As young people “adult out” of the system at 18 years old, we continue to parent them willingly. We allow them to work part time, for a stipend, which enables them to gain experience in budgeting and other life skills. They must be attending school to take part in this opportunity. It is a great help since there is virtually no such thing as a “part time job” in Kenya.

While they are taking college courses, we provide them with college or vocational financial assistance, career counseling, and just good old fashioned encouragement. Some of these youth have been with us since toddlerhood, and so they ARE family.
